With a career that spans 30 years, multi-platinum hit songwriter and powerhouse vocalist Lorraine Ferro is a diminutive dynamo. Her voice has been compared to legendary performers such as Edith Piaf, Janis Joplin and Ann Wilson of “Heart”. Lorraine was a featured contestant on the 3rd season of the NBC-TV hit show, “THE VOICE," and she has shared the stage with a roster of luminaries as diverse as LESLEY GORE ("It’s My Party") and the MARVELETTES ("Mr. Postman"), to LADY GAGA. Ms. Ferro performed in more than 7 countries with classic rock legend, RITCHIE BLACKMORE (Deep Purple/Blackmore's Night), and has toured nationally and internationally with her own bands: female Italian-American trio TRE BELLA, heavy melodic rock duo LOUDLIFE, and she just finished a brand new EP with her current singer/songwriter trio THE INSPIRE PROJECT. Her voice can be heard on numerous albums with artists such as indie singer/songwriter DAR WILLIAMS, and on national jingles including NABISCO, FOLGERS and PILLSBURY. Her songwriting has garnered many awards including a DOVE AWARD for Inspirational Recorded Song of the Year, and Outstanding Pop Song at the OUTMUSIC AWARDS; and her songs have been covered by artists ranging from SUSAN ASHTON to JESSICA SIMPSON. Lorraine is also a fiercely passionate artist coach and vocal producer, giving voice, songwriting and performance lessons and workshops in NYC and NJ for most of her career. She taught songwriting and performance workshops for the SONGWRITERS’ HALL OF FAME in NYC for many years. Some of her better known students include LANA DEL REY (songwriting), ANN CURLESS of pop group EXPOSE´ (vocal production), And PATRIZIO BUANE, international pop star. Currently, Lorraine is excited about her newest coaching venture with LIFE CENTER STAGE, a NJ organization dedicated to creative leadership and wellness through the arts.
